The only ProTeam dealer in the area
Poolside says it plainly on its own supplies page: we are the only ProTeam dealer in the area. If a ProTeam product is what you are after, the road ends at 3910 Rennie School Rd. in Traverse City, and you do not need to drive somewhere else to find it.
ProTeam sits on the brand list beside Delta UV, Viking Pools and QCA Spas. Those names run through the rest of what Poolside does. Viking is the fiberglass line behind the pools we set by crane, and QCA Spas is on the same list as the spa work, so the shop and the installation crew are working from the same shelf.
Because the same company installs, services and sells, the person behind the counter knows what is actually sitting in a Traverse City backyard. That is why customers keep naming Curtis in their reviews: he is the one who answers the question about the equipment you already own.
Heaters, pumps, filters, lights and skimmers
The equipment list is the working heart of any pool: heating units, water pumps, filtration systems, lighting systems and skimmers. The pump moves the water, the filter cleans it, the skimmer pulls debris off the surface before it sinks, the heater takes the chill off a Michigan season, and the lights are what you see after dark.
When one of those parts gives out, you have two questions: what is wrong, and what fits. Poolside offers equipment evaluation, equipment repair and replacement on the service side, so the supply counter and the service truck answer each other. One reviewer put it this way: they evaluate the whole system and fix small issues before they become big ones.

Covers, fencing, sanitizers and spa upkeep
Safety and water care make up the rest of the list. Poolside supplies hardtop safety covers and fencing for the pool, plus chemical sanitizers and UV sanitizers for the water itself. A UV sanitizer treats the water in a different way than chemical sanitizer does, and Delta UV is one of the brands the shop works with.
Hot tubs and spas have their own needs, and Poolside stocks specialty hot tub and spa maintenance items as well. If you bought your spa from Poolside or installed it through our spa services, the maintenance items live in the same shop that set it.
Chemistry is where people most often need a hand. A Google reviewer describes calling for help with chemicals after her indoor saltwater pool was finished, and Curtis walked her through it and checked back several times over the following weeks. The shop is open Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and takes cash, check, Discover, MasterCard and Visa.
